Mapping innovative Healthcare in Italy
Within the MAKEtoCARE initiative, Fondazione Politecnico di Milano and Sanofi Genzyme have signed a research agreement. Polifactory, acting as scientific partner on behalf of Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, is conducting a specific investigation activity on the MakeToCare environment, defined as individuals (patients and caregivers, independent researchers) and entities (hospitals, companies, start-ups, fablabs and makerspaces) developing original solutions, such as products or services, in order to ameliorate the daily experience of people facing diseases and disability.
The first round of research encompassed 188 actors and 120 projects, which provided the content of the 2017 MakeToCare report. The report - enriched with infographics as well as case studies- was later presented in February, in Fondazione Giannino Bassetti, Milan, in presence of Francesco Samorè (Fondazione Giannino Bassetti), Enrico Piccinini (Sanofi Genzyme), Stefano Maffei (Polifactory - Politecnico di Milano), Alessandra Orlandi (Humanitas), Ferdinando Auricchio (Pavia University), Matteo Malosio (ITIA-CNR), Angela Simone (EU SMART-map project), Lucia Scopelliti (Milan Municipality), Francesca Fedeli (FightTheStroke).
